This painting is inspired by my favorite animals, gorillas! 

My absolute favorite animal species, gorillas are such amazing creatures. Bold and powerful, gentle and sweet, these primates embody the full spectrum of intimidation and reserved repose. I decided to paint this study to focus more on the anatomy of a gorilla skull.
